Our organization is a nonprofit health system operating across multiple states, encompassing 12 hospital campuses, over 60 outpatient clinics, and more than 100 specialty sites throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin. We are currently seeking a Chief/Director of Anesthesia to oversee the quality, safety, and efficiency of anesthesia services within our hospitals and surgical centers. This position demands effective collaboration with leaders from various departments, including hospital, institute, and service line heads, as well as both independent and employed anesthesia professionals.

This role will involve working across several hospital and surgical center locations, necessitating occasional travel within the health system.

• Flexible Administrative and Clinical Balance: A preference for some clinical service involvement.
• Quality Improvement: Develop and implement strategies to enhance the quality of anesthesia care across the organization in both acute care environments and surgical centers.
• Standardization of Practices: Oversee and standardize practices for anesthesiologists and CRNAs throughout the organization, ensuring compliance with the highest safety standards and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with VPMAs, DOMAs, and other senior leaders to strategize and implement process improvements aimed at innovative care delivery and operational models that enhance clinical services, outcomes, and patient safety.
• Liaison Role: Act as a bridge between anesthesia providers (both independent and employed) and hospital leadership to align objectives and optimize perioperative processes. Foster strong relationships among clinical teams to ensure seamless care coordination across the system.
• Committee Leadership: Lead or participate in committees focused on anesthesia services, patient safety, and clinical operations within the organization.

Expected Compensation: The anticipated salary range is between $650,000 and $800,000, depending on experience.
