Substitute Support Staff Opportunities

The Vinton-Shellsburg Community School District is always seeking applicants to assist our district by substituting in various areas. Substitute support staff can choose their areas of preference and set their schedule based on availability. Starting pay per position:

Route/Shuttle Driver $25.60
Special Education Bus Driver $20.00
Special Education Van Driver $17.00
Activity Bus Driver Weekday $15.00 Weekend $18.00
Custodial $14.00
Secretary $12.50
Associate $12.50
Food Service $11.50

Requirements: Substitutes are expected to follow the district employee handbook. Background check. Substitute Bus Drivers are required to have a Class B CDL with the Passenger, School Bus, and Air Brake Endorsement *this is not a contracted position*
