As a Delivery Driver, you are a key member of our Warehouse team. You are responsible for delivering a variety of home furnishings and appliances to our clients. Exemplifying our code of values, you show respect and courtesy to all customers and employees. Ideally, you are driven to provide the highest level of customer service and satisfaction and able to effectively manage a variety of situations on a day-to-day basis. Responsibilities: Deliver a wide variety of items to different addresses and different routes Installation of home appliances Exude the utmost respect for customers and their homes/personal property, and take all precautions to avoid damages during delivery and/or installation Follow route and schedule Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate delivery vehicle as needed Ability to operate forklifts and pallet jack Follow DOT regulations and safety standards Must be able to lift and move a minimum of 50 to 100lbs. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record (no CDL required) Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen 1 Year delivery driving experience ideal but not required Experience or knowledge in the plumbing, electrical and/or HVAC trades Ability to drive multiple types of vehicles, i.e., box truck and express van Excellent organizational skills Must be able to work well with others Must have excellent time management skills Ability to communicate effectively with customers, and maintain effective relationships with warehouse team members Assisting in the Warehouse as needed, under the direction of the Warehouse and/or Operations manager Benefits/Perks: Health Insurance 401K With Company Match Paid vacation after 6 months of employment Employee discount Structured bonus schedule based on performance Outside tips from customers when freely offered by the customer (tips are NOT asked for or expected by Van's Home Center delivery teams) Opportunities for growth and pay raises Great working environment with a family owned company
