Job Title

Travel RN – Medical Surgical

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Expected 36 hours/week | Two weekends per month required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 39-bed Medical/Oncology unit with a 1:5 patient ratio on day shift
• Administer and safely scan medications, maintaining a minimum 98% medication scanning compliance rate
• Utilize facility equipment including Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis, Arjo lifts, Novastat, and bedside computers
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
• Float to Surgical/Orthopedic and Rehabilitation units as needed
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including charge nurses, CNAs, and unit secretaries in a team-oriented environment

Required Qualifications

• Active RN License (must be valid for practice in Idaho)
• BLS Certification (required)
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience
• Exceptional communication skills
• Strong time management abilities
• Demonstrated medication safety practices (minimum 98% safe scan and administration rate)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Chemotherapy certification
• Flexibility to work both day and night shifts
• Experience with Meditech EMR
• Friendly, team-oriented personality with strong interpersonal skills
