Job Summary

The Neurodiagnostic Technologist I prepares patients for various neurodiagnostic procedures. This position collects patient information pertinent to the interpretation of the tests and determines proper procedures for testing. The position performs age-appropriate activities and utilizes a variety of neurodiagnostic equipment such as electroencephalograms (EEG).

Key Responsibilities:

• Attach electrodes to patients using adhesives and ensure proper placement.
• Conduct tests such as electroencephalograms (EEG), evoked potentials (EP), and nerve conduction studies (NCS).
• Monitor patients during tests, ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair equipment as needed.
• Collect and summarize technical data for physician review.
• Explain testing procedures to patients and address any questions or concerns.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Assist in training new technicians and other staff members.

Qualifications:

• HS Diploma or GED required
• 1+ years of Allied Healthcare or related experience
