Workers' Compensation Claims Assistant

Position Summary A Workers’ Compensation Claims Assistant supports and provides a range of legal support to the Workers’ Compensation Claims Specialist. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assisting with processing claims in accordance with Firm policies and procedures Ensuring case management software (CMS) feed is cleared daily Completing all assigned tasks by relevant deadlines Documenting all relevant activity in CMS properly Ensuring emails are cleared daily Maintaining and organizing claim files Answering client, provider and adjuster calls as needed Requesting and obtaining medical records and bills and following up accordingly Reviewing and processing all incoming mail, email, and faxes Naming all documents in accordance with established naming conventions and saves to the appropriate folder Ensuring all documents are properly uploaded to the appropriate tab Assisting attorneys and Claim Specialists with other administrative duties and tasks as assigned Performing other duties as assigned Physical Demands and Work Environment The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
