Summary:
Cogent Infotech is seeking Senior Java Developers with strong hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable enterprise applications. Java is the primary and mandatory programming language for this role. Your Role and Responsibilities


As a Senior Java Developer, you will:



Java Back-End Development:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable back-end applications using Java as the core programming language, along with Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, microservices, and related technologies.



Application Development:
Participate in the complete software development lifecycle, including requirement analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance, and production support.



API Development and Integration:
Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs to support application functionality, system integration, and communication between multiple platforms.



Microservices Development:
Develop and support microservices-based applications with a focus on scalability, reliability, performance, and maintainability.



Database Management:
Work with relational databases, SQL queries, data modeling, stored procedures, and database optimization to support application requirements.



Code Quality and Performance:
Write clean, efficient, and maintainable Java code while supporting unit testing, debugging, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and code optimization.



System Design Support:
Contribute to technical design discussions, architecture reviews, and solution planning for enterprise applications.



Collaboration and Delivery:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, business stakeholders, QA teams, and project managers to deliver high-quality solutions on time.



Mentoring and Best Practices:
Guide junior developers when required, participate in code reviews, and promote coding standards, documentation, and development best practices.



AI and Emerging Technology Exposure:
Use AI tools, automation practices, and emerging technologies where applicable to improve development productivity and application capabilities.


What We're Looking For

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.



Experience:
5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in Java application development, back-end development, or enterprise software development roles.



Mandatory Technical Skills:
Strong hands-on experience in Java is required. Candidates must have working knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, microservices, SQL, and database-driven application development.



Problem-Solving Ability:
Ability to analyze complex requirements, identify technical challenges, troubleshoot issues, and deliver effective solutions.



Communication Skills:
Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams.



Team Player:
Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while managing responsibilities independently.



Willingness to Relocate:
Open to relocating anywhere in the U.S. for project assignments.


Preferred Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and microservices.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and clean coding principles.
• Experience with relational databases, SQL, stored procedures, and database optimization.
• Experience with version control tools such as Git.
• Familiarity with build tools such as Maven or Gradle.
• Experience with unit testing frameworks such as JUnit or Mockito.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment practices.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Basic exposure to front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, or Angular is a plus.
• Knowledge of application security, debugging, performance tuning, and production support.
• Exposure to AI tools, automation, or emerging technologies is an added advantage.

Salary


USD 80,000-150,000 per annum.
