Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Days | 5x8-hour shifts including weekends | Start Time: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret medication orders, compound, and dispense medications and pharmaceutical preparations in accordance with legal, ethical, and professional pharmacy practice standards
• Review patient profiles to ensure appropriate and safe drug therapy, including prevention of drug interactions, therapeutic duplication, and avoidable adverse drug reactions
• Provide pharmacokinetic dosing services, including interpreting drug levels, modifying doses appropriately, and writing progress notes per protocol
• Prepare and check IV admixtures using aseptic technique; verify technician-prepared products prior to release and maintain accuracy of syringe and vial counts
• Supervise and provide professional guidance to pharmacy technicians and support staff; prioritize STAT, Now, and Waiting orders accordingly
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives, in-service education, and serve as a consultant to clinical, medical, and administrative staff on drug therapy and regulatory matters

Required Qualifications

• Active Oklahoma Board of Pharmacy (OK BOP) license required — must be submitted with application
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association required — must be submitted with application
• Minimum of 1 year of recent pharmacy experience in a hospital setting
• Competency in serving adult and geriatric patient populations (ages 18 through 65+)
• Ability to enter a minimum of 40 medication orders per four-hour shift

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with pharmacokinetics dosing services and IV admixture preparation in an acute care environment
• Familiarity with generating pharmacy reports including Pick IV and Production reports
• Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary medical and clinical teams in a hospital setting
