We are seeking knowledgeable customer focused auto, diesel, aircraft, or forklift technicians to join the Crown team.Job Duties:Troubleshoot, diagnose, service, repair and install dock and door equipment.Perform all assigned planned maintenance on customer dock and door equipment.Welding.Maintain a service van and its inventory.Process paperwork after completion of each job.Minimum Qualifications:Less than 2 years related experienceHigh school diploma or equivalentValid driver's license, good driving record, and ability to safely operate lift trucks.Preferred Qualifications:Technical school graduate preferred.Mechanical and electrical aptitude.Welding experience.Good written and verbal communication and customer care skills.Read and understand hydraulic and electrical schematics.Familiar with tools and equipment such as common hand.Job Purpose and Objectives:Drive to customer locations and install, service, and repair dock equipment and other industrial building accessories. This position reports to the Branch Manager, Field Service Manager, Service Manager.Percentage of Time Key Tasks:55-70% Dock and Door Installation / Repair25-35% Planned Maintenance Service00-05% Service Van and Inventory MaintenancePhysical and Mental Requirements:Per 8-hour shift. Must be able to sit 2 hours, stand 5 hours, walk 1 hour, see, talk, and hear. Must be able to frequently lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 lb., bend/stoop/twist, squat, reach below knee level, grip/grasp, work with arm outstretched, and work above chest level. Must be able to occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 100lb., reach above shoulder level, climb stairs, climb ladders, torque, use vibratory tools, and pinch grip. Must be able to safely operate lift trucks and vehicles/service vans. Must have good binocular vision. Ability to distinguish colors preferred. Possible exposure to hot and cold temperatures, dust, solvents, fuels, battery acid, and noise pollutionWork Authorization: Crown will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States.
