Salary: $109,000 - 149,000 per year Requirements:
- Strong experience in mobile application development and Android development with Kotlin.
- Experience migrating applications or platforms to modern architectures, including work with large-scale enterprise applications.
- Experience updating dependencies, validating builds, running automated tests, and participating in code reviews.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience working within established software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes.
- Ability to work independently on repeatable, high-volume migration workstreams.
- Lead and carry out module migrations from a legacy platform to a new architecture, following standardized steps for dependency updates, build validation, automated testing, and code review.
- Develop and maintain Android applications in Kotlin, ensuring migrated modules meet performance, stability, and code quality standards.
- Investigate migration exceptions, identify root causes such as dependency conflicts, deprecated APIs, or build failures, and implement fixes or workarounds.
- Verify build and test integrity across migrated modules, including automated test results and consistent rendering and UI behavior.
- Conduct and participate in migration pull request reviews, upholding platform architecture standards and best practices.
- Coordinate with teams responsible for more than 100 dependent modules and integrated services to manage timelines, address integration issues, and limit regressions.
- Document migration patterns and exceptions in internal runbooks and playbooks to support future work.
- Monitor application health after migration using metrics and crash reporting, identify regressions, and drive fixes.
