Job Requirements

• Active Virginia RN license or compact RN license required at time of submission
• At least 3 years of Emergency Department nursing experience in a similar-sized ED
• Experience in a Level I or Level II trauma environment required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
• Trauma certification such as ATCN, TNCC, or ATLC required
• Cerner experience highly preferred
• Must be flexible to meet unit staffing needs; no block schedule

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a busy Emergency Department
• Perform rapid assessments, triage, and ongoing patient monitoring
• Support trauma care and respond to urgent and emergent situations
• Administer medications, initiate treatment plans, and collaborate with the care team
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the EHR
• Adapt quickly to changing patient volumes, acuity levels, and staffing needs
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-moving healthcare environment
