Remote | CAD Screenshot & UI Annotation Consultant — $60-$80/hour

We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for CAD professionals experienced in professional design software, realistic CAD workflows, screenshot capture, UI element annotation, technical task instruction writing, and detailed visual review.

This role supports current and upcoming remote consulting opportunities focused on CAD software screenshot capture, interactive UI annotation, workflow documentation, natural-language task instruction writing, pilot-phase quality review, and high-quality project execution. Selected professionals will capture realistic expert-use screenshots from professional CAD tools, annotate interface elements accurately, and write clear task instructions based on real CAD workflows.

Key Responsibilities

CAD Screenshot Capture

• Capture high-quality screenshots of professional CAD software during realistic expert workflows
• Use CAD tools in a practical, professional manner that reflects real design, drafting, modeling, engineering, or architectural use cases
• Follow detailed capture guidelines to ensure screenshots are clear, relevant, and suitable for structured review
• Maintain consistency and accuracy across submitted screenshot materials

UI Element Annotation

• Annotate interactive UI elements accurately and consistently
• Identify buttons, menus, panels, toolbars, dialogs, controls, and other interface components
• Ensure annotations reflect how an expert user would understand and interact with the CAD software
• Apply strong attention to detail when labeling visual interface elements

Task Instructions & Quality Review

• Write clear, natural-language task instructions that reflect realistic CAD software use
• Create instructions that are easy to understand, technically accurate, and grounded in actual CAD workflows
• Iterate on feedback during the pilot phase to meet quality standards before scaling to full production
• Maintain clear documentation and consistent output quality across submissions

Ideal Profile

Strong candidates may have:

• Hands-on professional experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, CATIA, Revit, Siemens NX, or similar tools
• Strong working knowledge of day-to-day CAD workflows and software interfaces
• Reliable access to relevant CAD software for screenshot capture
• Ability to follow precise annotation and capture guidelines
• Strong attention to detail and visual accuracy
• Clear written English for task instructions
• Ability to work independently in a remote, project-based environment

Educational Background

• Academic or professional backgrounds in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, civil engineering, architecture, industrial design, product design, drafting, BIM, CAD design, manufacturing design, or related fields may be relevant
• Professional CAD experience is especially valuable
• Equivalent hands-on experience with CAD tools, design workflows, drafting, modeling, or technical documentation may be considered depending on project needs

Nice to Have

• Experience with multiple CAD tools, such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, CATIA, Revit, Siemens NX, or similar platforms
• Experience creating CAD documentation, training materials, design instructions, or workflow guides
