Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support security-related operations through routine patrols and strong communication. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $19.47 / Hour Job Schedule: Wed 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM Thur 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM What You'll Do Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by following site-specific access control procedures, badge verification steps, and security-related policies at a chemical and petrochemical location. Monitor entry and exit points, check credentials, maintain visitor logs, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas through consistent screening and documentation practices. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including communicating with site contacts and emergency personnel when appropriate. Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, buildings, and perimeter areas to identify unusual activity, report concerns, and support site security-related operations. Support vehicle and pedestrian traffic control at designated gates and checkpoints, including directing arrivals, verifying delivery information, and following post orders and/or site protocols. Minimum Requirements At least 1 year of security-related experience is required. Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
