This position is not eligible for work visa sponsorship.What You Will DoDesign and implement product features to Claria, Guardian’s customer-facing AI platformMentor software engineers and technical leads, helping grow architecture, design, and software engineering capabilities across the organizationGuide the design and operation of AI-powered systems, including LLM integrations, orchestration frameworks, evaluation processes, and production monitoringCollaborate with cloud, security, and platform teams to ensure solutions meet enterprise standards for security, compliance, and reliabilityCommunicate technical strategy, architectural decisions, risks, and trade-offs to business stakeholders, product owners, and leadership in a clear and actionable mannerDrive the adoption of AI-assisted software engineering practices, developer productivity tools, and modern SDLC standards across the organizationPartner with development teams to establish automated testing, CI/CD, observability, and operational excellence practices for both traditional and AI-enabled applicationsWho You Are (Basic Qualifications)Expert in full-stack application architecture and development, including modern web frameworks, APIs, AWS cloud services, and distributed systemsDeep expertise in AI/LLM application architecture and delivery, including orchestration patterns, tool integration, prompt engineering, RAG, evaluation frameworks, and production AI system operationsStrong software engineering fundamentals, including object-oriented design, SOLID principles, testing strategies, and maintainable code practicesExperience establishing and evolving AI-driven software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices, developer platforms, and engineering standardsAdvanced knowledge of AWS cloud-native architectures, containerization, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and DevOps practiceStrong understanding of application security, identity and access management, secure-by-design principles, and threat modelingProven ability to evaluate technology platforms, architectural patterns, and engineering tools, balancing business outcomes, security, maintainability, and operational requirementsProven ability to mentor engineers and technical leads while driving engineering excellence, architecture consistency, and long-term technology strategyWhat Will Put You AheadBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or other related field; Master’s preferredProven experience designing and delivering scalable, secure, and highly available customer-facing applicationsStrong project management and presentation skillsKnowledge of Python and FastAPIKnowledge of TypeScriptKnowledge of Azure AI servicesAt Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
