Description: ED RN position in a fast-paced setting. Rotating night and evening shifts available. Primary need for night shift coverage currently. All age ranges of patients will be treated, from infants to geriatrics. The patient ratio is 1:4, can be up to 5 with lower acuity. Diagnoses encountered vary, covering all systems and complex conditions. Every other weekend coverage is required. Holidays are also required as scheduled. Floating within specialty and sister facilities may be needed. On-call pre-scheduled shifts are not required. Candidates must be comfortable floating without restrictions. Additional qualifications include experience with: Abdominal pain, Acute psychosis, Asthma, Blood product administration, Care of ventilated patients, Chest tube insertion and management, Interpretation of arterial blood gases, Managing violent behavior, Triage, Seizures, Suicidal patients, Urinary tract infections. An interdisciplinary support team includes various services. Unit details may include special equipment and procedures relevant to emergency care. Compliance with specific certification requirements is essential. Candidates must complete onboarding labs promptly. All qualifications and requirements must be strictly adhered to.
