Litigation Attorney

Job Summary A respected legal services firm in Tampa, FL is seeking a Litigation Attorney to join its litigation practice on a direct hire basis. This Associate Attorney opportunity is ideal for a litigation attorney with 3 to 5 years of experience who is ready to take on meaningful case responsibility, work directly with clients, and continue developing strong litigation skills. This role offers hands-on involvement in commercial litigation, business disputes, civil litigation, insurance matters, property disputes, and contract claims. The firm provides a collaborative, team-oriented environment with supportive leadership, experienced attorneys, and skilled legal support professionals. Key Responsibilities Manage commercial, business, and civil litigation matters from intake through resolution. Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, legal memoranda, correspondence, and other litigation documents. Conduct legal research, analyze complex legal issues, and assist in developing effective litigation strategies. Take and defend depositions, prepare clients and witnesses, and participate in hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation. Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, experts, court personnel, attorneys, and internal staff. Maintain litigation calendars, case deadlines, case files, and overall matter organization. Compensation and Benefits Salary range: $120,000 to $150,000 per year. Pay is expected to be around $120,000, with flexibility to pay more for the right candidate. Direct hire opportunity. Required Qualifications and Skills Manage active litigation matters involving commercial, business, civil, insurance, property, and contract disputes. Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, discovery, memoranda, and litigation correspondence. Conduct legal research and support case strategy development from early case assessment through resolution. Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation. 3 to 5 years of litigation experience. Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school. Active license to practice law in Florida. Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills. Experience managing deadlines, case calendars, discovery, and litigation files. Professional communication skills with clients, opposing counsel, experts, courts, and internal teams. Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative litigation team. Preferred Qualifications Experience with commercial litigation, business disputes, civil litigation, insurance matters, property disputes, or contract claims. Prior experience taking or defending depositions. Experience preparing for hearings, mediations, arbitrations, or trial. Strong client service orientation and ability to exercise sound professional judgment.
