Summary About the Position: The mission of the Corpus Christi Army Depot is to overhaul, repair, modify, retrofit, test and modernize helicopters, engines and components for all services and foreign military customers. Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD) is the Army's Center of Industrial and Technical Excellence for Rotary Wing Aviation Maintenance. We provide worldwide on-site maintenance services, aircraft crash analysis, lubricating oil analysis, and chemical, metallurgical and training support. Learn more about this agency Duties Help
- Advise the Command Group on communication strategy, public issues, media engagement, and crisis communication, and serves as the installation's official spokesperson.
- Develop and executes communication plans to inform employees, media, community leaders, and government officials on Corpus Christi missions, policies, programs, and emergency actions.
- Lead media relations and outreach by preparing speeches, news releases, articles, and other materials, while building effective relationships with media, civic leaders, and stakeholders.
- Oversee visual information services, including photography, graphics, video, television production, the depot newspaper, and other internal and external communication platforms.
- Supervise office personnel by assigning work, evaluating performance, developing staff, and ensuring compliance with EEO, safety, security, training, and workforce management requirements.
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position has been designated Mission Essential.
- This position requires a one-year probationary period to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in order to obtain and maintain a Government Driver's License.
- This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure OGE Form 450 and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
