Social Worker The Entertainment Community Fund (formerly The Actors Fund) is a nationwide human services organization that helps all professionals in performing arts and entertainment. The clients are a diverse, dynamic, and engaging group of working and retired professionals, including musicians, actors, stage managers, set designers, hair and makeup stylists, costume designers, ushers, radio hosts, and more. The agency seeks a clinically oriented Social Worker to provide clinical case management, counseling, and group services to support artists in the arts community. Responsibilities The Social Worker will work with individuals and families in the Central Region, addressing work/life balance concerns such as emergency financial need, mental health, health, or housing. Using a clinical case management model, you will develop comprehensive plans and collaborate with community resources. You will evaluate and advocate for emergency financial assistance, serve as liaison to internal and external support services, and lead groups and workshops. Minimum Qualifications Master’s Degree from an accredited School of Social Work with state licensure. Strong assessment, intensive clinical case management, and advocacy skills. Crisis intervention skills are a must with the ability to engage a wide range of presentations. Organized and able to handle diverse tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Experience in crisis intervention and brief treatment models preferred. Ability to effectively engage and sustain relationships with program participants. Additional Requirements Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; must handle conflict, build consensus, and establish relationships with stakeholders. Experience facilitating workshops and groups. Comfortable in a collegial, fast-paced environment. Ability to attend occasional evening or weekend events. Preferred Qualities Experience with the entertainment and performing arts community. About This Position This is a full-time salaried or hourly position based in the Entertainment Community Fund’s Central Region Office in Chicago. Compensation Compensation is commensurate with licensure type and years of experience. Salary ranges are: $69,000 – $73,422 for MSW holders; $76,620 – $78,422 for LCSW holders. Internships, volunteer work, and employment gaps are not counted toward years of experience.
