The "Quality Manager" is responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality control within a printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturing facility, ensuring that all production processes adhere to strict quality standards, implementing continuous improvement initiatives, and maintaining compliance with industry regulations, by leading a team of quality inspectors and engineers while collaborating closely with other departments to deliver high-quality PCBs consistently.

Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions:

• Quality Management System (QMS) Oversight: Develop, implement, and maintain a robust QMS system aligned with industry standards, including documentation, procedures, and quality metrics to monitor and improve PCB production processes.
• Quality Control Inspections: Lead a team of quality inspectors to conduct thorough inspections at various stages of PCB manufacturing, including raw materials, in-process checks, and final product testing, identifying and addressing quality issues promptly.
• Process Improvement: Analyze quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production processes and minimize defects.
• Compliance Assurance: Adhere to all relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements related to PCB manufacturing, including environmental regulations and customer specifications.
• Root Cause Analysis: Conduct root cause analysis for quality issues, identify corrective actions, and implement preventative measures to prevent future occurrences.
• Customer service tickets: Manage / resolve customer service tickets (post shipment issues) in timely manner and work with cross functional teams to perform root cause analysis and put preventive actions in place to avoid future reoccurrences of issues. Put strict controls in place to avoid quality escapes by quality control department.
• Customer Audits / Surveys: Handle customer audits and visits and make sure audit findings are closed in timely manner with proper root cause and prevention in place
• Recertifications : Schedule / handle recertifications such as ISO, AS9100.
• Training and Development: Train and develop the quality team on new quality procedures, testing methodologies, and industry best practices. Responsible training and making sure QC associates are certified to IPC600 standards.
• Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with engineering, production, and customer service teams to address quality concerns, identify design for manufacturability (DFM) issues, and ensure smooth production flow.
• Reporting and Analysis: Generate comprehensive quality reports, analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), and present findings to management to inform strategic decision-making.

• Maintaining open communication with team members, providing regular updates, and actively listening to feedback.

• Identifying and addressing challenges, making timely decisions, and finding solutions to complex issues.
• Ensure all team members uphold Company Employment and Safety policies and protocols.
• Overseeing headcount planning, conducting interviews, employee timecards, and budgets, and collaborating with cross-functional departments and managers.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or a related field, with advanced training in quality assurance preferred.
• Extensive experience in PCB manufacturing and quality control processes, including knowledge of various inspection techniques and testing methods.
• Deep understanding of quality management systems (QMS) and industry standards (e.g., IPC, ISO)
• Strong analytical skills to identify trends' root causes and implement effective solutions
• Proven leadership skills to manage and motivate a quality team
• Proficient in data analysis and reporting tools to track quality metrics and identify areas for improvement
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Exceptional multi-tasking, organizational skills, strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to adhere to the Company Employment and Safety policies.
• Ability to work well with others at all levels and to demonstrate teamwork. Fluent in English.
• Self-motivator, sense of ownership, urgency to meet deadlines, and ability to reflect a positive work ethic by demonstrating reliability and commitment to your role by minimizing absences and tardiness.
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality & professionalism at all times.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office using Excel, PowerPoint, and Word required.

Salary: 100K to 130K

Environment:

• The manufacturing facility is exposed to electronics assembly equipment and materials.
• May require working in a controlled environment with specific temperature and humidity requirements.
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required to perform the work.
• Production floor- Machine shop environment
