Position: RN - Cardiac Cath Lab

Shift:

Days with On-Call Rotation

On call one night a week and one weekend a month.

Job Description:

The RN will utilize the nursing process and critical thinking in collaboration with interdisciplinary team members to provide quality care for patients in the Cardiac Cath Lab. This position requires a focus on patient assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans in accordance with physician directives and hospital policies.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments following established nursing techniques, policies, procedures, and state regulations.
Ensure accuracy and thoroughness in documentation to meet the standards of care.
Utilize available resources to educate and support patients and their families according to their level of understanding.
Participate in performance improvement activities within the department, fostering shared governance.
Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other departments regarding the patients' longitudinal care plans.
Manage complex patient situations with critical thinking, delegating appropriately, and escalating issues as necessary.
Foster a positive professional and organizational environment, contributing to shared governance initiatives.
Engage in continuous personal development and support opportunities for growth, including the development of evidence-based practice guidelines.
Participate in peer review and feedback processes actively.

Education and Experience:

Graduate of an accredited nursing program - Education Verification Required.
3 years of RN experience, including 1 year in critical care.
Cardiovascular Intervention experience is mandatory.
Current RN licensure in Wisconsin or compact state.
Current BLS certification and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification are required.
Must successfully pass an EKG test.
