Registered Nurse - Pediatrics

Location: Teaneck, NJ

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Day shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, with every other weekend required.

Job Description: The Registered Nurse in Pediatrics will provide specialized nursing care to neonates, infants, children, and adolescents. The role involves managing a range of pediatric health conditions, administering medications and treatments, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver patient care to pediatric populations including neonates, infants, and adolescents.
• Administer medications and IV therapies as prescribed.
• Perform pediatric dosage calculations and manage IV lines and peripheral care.
• Provide support for breastfeeding and manage feeding techniques.
• Monitor and assess patients with respiratory and neurological conditions.
• Participate in patient and family education initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with infection prevention policies and safety protocols.
• Float to NICU/Nursery as required per hospital policy.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Active NJ or Compact RN License.
• Minimum of 2 years of pediatric nursing experience required.
• Current certifications in BLS and PALS.
