St. Matthew School, located on the northeast side of Indianapolis, is seeking a passionate and dedicated maternity leave substitute teacher to join our elementary team. This temporary position offers a wonderful opportunity to provide consistency and support while making a meaningful impact on students' learning and growth.At St. Matthew School, we strive to create a faith-filled, student-centered environment where relationships matter and every child is supported and known.In this role, you will provide continuity of instruction and maintain an engaging, well-managed classroom during a teacher's maternity leave. You will work with established curriculum and plans, adapt instruction to meet the needs of all learners, and foster a classroom culture built on respect, high expectations, and inclusion. You will also collaborate closely with families, colleagues, and school leadership to support students academically and socially.The ideal candidate has a genuine passion for working with elementary students, along with strong classroom management, communication, and student-engagement skills. We value educators who are dependable, collaborative, flexible, and committed to contributing to a positive, faith-based school community.Candidates should hold a valid Elementary Education teaching license or be eligible to serve as a substitute teacher in Indiana.
