Job Description
Title: Registered Nurse - Progressive Care Unit

Schedule:
- Shift Hours: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
- Weekend Requirements: Typically every other weekend

Assignment Details:
- Contract Length: 4 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: Not specified

Requirements:
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- Minimum Years Clinical Experience Required: 1 year in a relevant clinical setting
- Minimum Years Clinical Experience in Specialty Required: 1 year
- EMR: EPIC experience required from within the past 2 years
- Unit-specific skills: Experience with insulin drips, cardiac drips, starting IVs, and post-cardiac catheterization.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in a progressive care unit setting.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, particularly those with cardiac diagnoses or complications.
- Administer medications and manage drips per protocols.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to plan and implement patient care strategies.
- Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record.
- Participate in floating as part of the resource float team.

Compliance / Notes:
- Orientation: 1 - 2 days
- Dress Code: Scrubs in navy blue or white; closed-toe nonskid shoes; minimal jewelry, professional grooming required.
- Reliable transportation is necessary; public transportation is not accessible in the area.
