Mental Health Technician - Behavioral Health
Provide direct patient care to adults and adolescents with a wide range of disorders, ensuring their safety and wellbeing. Monitor patients closely and conduct observation rounds, prioritizing patient safety as the top concern. Participate in treatment planning by identifying patients' problems, needs, and strengths. Assist in the admission process, including vital sign assessment, safety searches, specimen collection, and patient orientation. Plan, prepare, and conduct group therapy programs for patients. Participate in hospital codes as necessary for unit safety, partnering with the Charge Nurse to ensure successful shift operations and maintaining an engaging, therapeutic environment for high patient satisfaction.

Minimum of High School Diploma or GED. Preferred: Bachelors Degree in Psychology or related field highly recommended. One year of direct work experience in a behavioral health environment including leading groups, de-escalating behaviors, and managing multiple clinical diagnoses. Experience in an inpatient setting.
