Position Security Guard Reception Desk Patrol in Brooklyn, NY Employment Details Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $20.05 / Hour Job Schedule: Wed 04:00 PM – 12:00 AM; Fri 12:00 AM – 08:00 AM; Sat 12:00 AM – 08:00 AM; Sun 12:00 AM – 08:00 AM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a residential location. Monitor front desk activity, manage visitor access processes, verify identification and/or authorization as required, and document arrivals, departures, and other front desk interactions. Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, and communicate with property management, emergency services, and/or Allied Universal leadership when needed. Observe entry points, common areas visible from the front desk, and building activity for unusual or suspicious behavior, and report maintenance, access control, and/or security-related issues according to site procedures. Complete required reports, logs, and incident documentation, answer phones, provide directions and information, and support daily front desk operations in a professional manner. Minimum Requirements: A New York State Security Guard License is required. Be at least 21 years of age. Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
