Position: Certified Medical Assistant

Location: Blythe, CA

Duration: Full-time only

Shift: Day

Schedule: Monday - Friday

Rate: $20.50

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Certified Medical Assistant to join our team in a correctional facility. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional care to patients and be able to work in a challenging and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the evaluation and treatment of patients in a correctional setting
• Administer medications as prescribed by the physician or mid-level provider
• Collect and record patient information, such as vital signs, medical histories, and test results
• Provide patients with education on their health condition and any prescribed medications
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care in the electronic health record system
• Assist with the scheduling of patient appointments and follow-up care as needed
• Adhere to all policies and procedures related to patient care and safety

Requirements:

• Current certification as a Medical Assistant
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting
• Ability to work in a correctional facility environment
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and medications
• Proficiency in electronic health record systems
