Ophthalmic Technician I

Job Overview Eye Center of Texas has 6 Board Certified Ophthalmologists and 8 Therapeutic Optometrists with 6 locations. Our nationally renowned physicians, combined with the most advanced medical technology, give us the opportunity to offer our patients the highest caliber of care. We offer comprehensive medical and surgical care, including laser cataract surgery, LASIK, vision correction, glaucoma, retina and vitreous disease treatments and more. We are now hiring for an Ophthalmic Technician to support a high‑volume practice that focuses on providing quality and compassionate care to each patient needing complete eye care services. Responsibilities Obtaining and documenting patient history Determining visual acuity Performing automated refraction Administering eye drops, ointments, and irrigating solutions to the eye as ordered by physician Performing office duties and clinical tasks—entering data into EMR Providing patient services Maintaining equipment and instruments Dependable transportation required to travel to other offices as required Must be flexible with traveling to various locations Qualifications Graduation from an accredited high school Ability to pay attention to detail Ability to maintain confidentiality The ability to seek instruction in areas where the candidate is not knowledgeable The ability to recognize inconsistencies Benefits Medical Dental Vision 401(k) with match
