Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation:

• $23.12/hour
• 8am - 5pm
• 6 month Temporary assignment

What’s a typical day as Program Assistant I – Food Bank? You’ll be:

• Representing the food bank program to nonprofit organization partners, the public, donors, volunteers, and internal staff
• Taking the lead in ensuring program quality and compliance across the food bank’s partner agencies
• Managing compliance and monitoring systems, evaluating agency partners for adherence to food bank regulations and policies
• Identifying, developing, and supporting new networking sites to expand community outreach
• Serving as a key liaison between the food bank program and the public
• Assisting with grant applications, special projects, and fundraising events under the direction of the Program Manager
• Frequently traveling throughout San Bernardino County to engage partners and stakeholders

 

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

• Have experience working with nonprofits, social service agencies, or similar programs (must have)
• Are enthusiastic, driven, persuasive, and passionate about increasing food security in San Bernardino County
• Excel in communication, customer service, and relationship-building, particularly with individuals from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds
• Possess strong initiative and judgment and can handle a variety of routine and non-routine questions independently
• Are able and willing to travel extensively throughout San Bernardino County (must have)
• Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple tasks, projects, and deadlines efficiently
