Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Nurse (PICU RN)

We are seeking experienced Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our dedicated team. As a PICU RN, you will provide exceptional care to critically ill pediatric patients in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the PICU.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Float to the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) as necessary.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes in status.
• Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans and care procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) nursing.
• Experience in Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) preferred.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS are required.
• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
• Valid compact nursing license accepted.

Work Schedule

• Night shifts: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
• Ratios of 1:1 or 1:2 dependent on patient needs.
• Every other weekend (EOW) and a minimum of 2 holiday shifts required.

Additional Information

• RTO requests must be communicated at the time of submission.
• Blocked schedules are available for candidates willing to work all weekends.
• Travelers must be prepared to float as needed based on census levels.
• Local candidates within 50 miles will be considered local and will receive adjusted rates.
