As an Echo Technologist, you will play a critical role in diagnosing and treating patients by performing high-quality echocardiograms. Your responsibilities will include:

• Performing echocardiograms (transthoracic and transesophageal) according to physician orders and department protocols
• Preparing patients for procedures, explaining the process, and answering any questions to alleviate concerns
• Positioning patients appropriately to obtain optimal imaging results while ensuring their comfort and safety
• Operating ultrasound equipment to capture clear and accurate images of the heart and associated structures
• Analyzing acquired images to identify abnormalities, anomalies, and potential pathology
• Collaborating with cardiologists and other healthcare providers to interpret findings and assist in patient diagnosis and treatment planning
• Ensuring proper documentation of procedures, including patient information, image acquisition, and interpretation
• Maintaining and calibrating ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal performance and image quality
• Adhering to infection control protocols and safety guidelines to minimize risks to patients and staff
• Participating in quality assurance activities and continuous education to stay current with advances in echocardiography technology and techniques

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Associates or bachelor's degree
• Current ARDMS or CCI Registered
• BLS certification
• Need 1 year experience in setting
