Position Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Territory Sales Manager to manage and grow sales throughout New Jersey . This is a home-office-based position requiring regular travel throughout the territory. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of sales success, preferably selling construction, manufacturing, building, or other specialized products. Experience selling to both businesses and consumers is highly desirable. Key Responsibilities Develop and manage sales throughout the New Jersey territory. Meet with residential contractors, builders, developers, dealers, and homeowners to identify opportunities and understand customer needs. Present products and solutions professionally, including onsite customer presentations. Identify and qualify prospective customers through research, networking, referrals, cold calling, and other business-development activities. Develop new business while maintaining and expanding existing customer relationships. Manage and monitor projects to help ensure construction and installation activities meet company specifications and applicable code requirements. Keep customers and prospects informed about product modifications, enhancements, and new offerings. Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and other events when applicable. Maintain accurate customer account records, including contact information and sales opportunities. Prepare sales and marketing reports and maintain accurate expense records. Consistently perform the daily prospecting, customer meetings, follow-up, presentations, and account-management activities necessary to maximize sales performance. Work closely with internal teams and other company resources to provide an exceptional customer experience. Qualifications Required 2–3+ years of proven successful sales experience. Demonstrated history of meeting or exceeding sales goals. Strong prospecting and business-development skills. Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities. Ability to work independently from a home office. Strong organization, time management, and follow-up skills. Valid driver#39;s license and ability to travel throughout New Jersey. Strong and consistent employment history with demonstrated tenure. Preferred Background Experience selling any of the following is highly desirable: Construction products Manufacturing products Building materials Home improvement products Windows and doors Garage doors Elevators or other specialty construction products Other niche or specialized products Experience with B2B and direct-to-consumer sales is preferred. You should be comfortable prospecting, making cold calls, meeting customers in the field, conducting presentations, managing active projects, and developing long-term relationships with contractors, builders, dealers, developers, and homeowners.
