Position Summary

MEMCO Staffing is seeking experienced Off-Highway Dump Truck Operators / Haul Truck Operators for a project in Brownsville, Texas . This position will be responsible for safely operating large off-road haul trucks to transport dirt, rock, aggregate, excavation material, and other materials throughout an active construction or heavy civil jobsite.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Operate large off-highway dump trucks and haul trucks, including equipment comparable to CAT 770, 773, 775, 777, or similar models .
• Haul dirt, rock, aggregate, excavation spoils, and other materials throughout the project.
• Safely operate equipment on haul roads, uneven terrain, slopes, inclines, and active construction areas.
• Properly position the truck for loading by excavators, loaders, and other heavy equipment.
• Dump materials safely in designated areas.
• Follow established haul routes, jobsite traffic patterns, speed limits, and safety procedures.
• Perform daily pre-shift and post-shift equipment inspections.
• Inspect tires, brakes, lights, fluids, steering, alarms, and other safety components.
• Report mechanical issues, equipment damage, leaks, or unsafe conditions immediately.
• Communicate with supervisors, spotters, ground personnel, and other equipment operators.
• Follow hand signals and spotter directions while backing or maneuvering in congested areas.
• Maintain safe distances from trenches, excavations, slopes, berms, workers, and other equipment.
• Keep equipment clean and properly maintained.
• Complete equipment inspection forms and production documentation as required.
• Follow all MEMCO, customer, OSHA, and project-specific safety policies.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating off-highway dump trucks or large haul trucks required.
• Heavy civil, earthwork, quarry, mining, or large construction project experience preferred.
• Experience operating CAT 770, 773, 775, 777, Komatsu, or comparable haul trucks is preferred.
• Knowledge of safe loading, hauling, backing, and dumping procedures.
• Ability to operate equipment safely on rough and uneven terrain.
• Ability to perform basic equipment inspections and identify potential safety or mechanical concerns.
• Must be dependable and able to report to the Brownsville, TX jobsite as scheduled.
• Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Must be available for overtime and weekends when required by the project.
• Must meet all required pre-employment and jobsite screening requirements.
