Assembler: Rockford, Illinois

Our customer in Rockford, Illinois is seeking motivated and detail-oriented individuals to join their team. We’re hiring Assemblers to work full-time on 1st shift. As an Assembler, you will play a key role in the production of precision components by assembling, inspecting, and documenting parts while maintaining high quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities of the Assembler:

• Assemble precision ball-nut components using hand tools and equipment while following standard operating procedures and quality requirements.
• Review part drawings, assembly instructions, and work orders to ensure correct components and assembly methods are used
• Perform in-process inspections using basic measuring tools to verify parts meet required specifications and tolerances.
• Accurately record production data, part counts, and material usage within the ERP system.
• Assist with material handling by moving raw materials and finished products between workstations as needed.
• Conduct final quality checks on completed assemblies to ensure company and customer standards are met.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following PPE requirements and 5S practices.
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet daily production goals and support continuous improvement.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Assembler Requirements and Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• High school diploma or GED preferred, or equivalent relevant work experience
• Ability to use measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Ability to safely operate hand tools including drills, screwdrivers, and impact tools.
• Ability to read and write, perform basic math, and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.

Pay for Assembler: $17.00 per hour.
