Title:Equipment Technician LeadJob Description:Job OverviewThe Equipment Tech Lead is responsible for safely cleaning and disinfecting medical equipment and maintaining appropriate par levels for each department and will provide some work direction to custodial staff.Roles & ResponsibilitiesTo perform this job successfully and safely, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.Work the daily shift as an Equipment TechnicianDevelop working schedules for staffHelp coordinate technicians’ activitiesEnsure consistent communication among TechniciansStrive to reduce idle equipment and improve cleanlinessImprove order response timeIf all areas are stocked and orders filled - help cleanCommunicate with runnersCommunicate with stakeholdersPerform spot checks throughout the shiftEscalate Clinical concerns to Supervisor and improve cleanlinessIf all areas are stocked and orders filled - help cleanTraining of new employees on work instructionsRetraining post audit findings as applicableWalk and or stand for long periods of timeAnswer and respond to phone calls and emails from hospital staffAppropriately clean and disinfect medical equipment using the approved disinfectantAble to read par sheets and inventory levelsAdhere to hospital policies and infection control processesObtain supplies via Stock Acquisition ProcessPerform all duties listed on the daily scheduleOperate pushcart for transporting equipmentMaintain daily upkeep of assigned areaReport incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisorComply with safety rules, policies, and proceduresStop at risk behavior of others and selfPerform work assignments in a team with other employeesPerform repetitive tasksMaintain clean work areaFollow all protocols, company procedures, policies, and rulesTake direction and respond to supervisionTalk with lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers in a professional mannerFill in during staff shortageSupport shift lead in completing punch-list itemsUse proper personal protective equipmentPresent a professional appearance and conductUnderstand customer service and satisfactionUnderstand reporting systems, and of the environmentQualificationTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.Education and/ or Experience:High school diploma / GED requiredCertificates, Licenses, Registrations:Completed all safety and task training certificationKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documentsStrong verbal and written communication skillsKnowledge of cleaning methods and equipment and willing to share with teamKnowledge of the upkeep and care of the cleaning equipmentKnowledge of cleaning chemicals, and their safe, efficient useCompensation and Shift:Mon/Tue/Thurs/Fri/Sat: 7:00pm-3:30 amOff Sunday/Wednesday$17.00-$18.00 per hourBenefits:SBM offers comprehensive benefit packages.
