Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Job Description:

This position involves providing care in a 36-bed Intensive Care Unit, specializing in neuro, cardiac, and medical surgical ICU. The nurse will manage a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2 or 2-3 depending on patient acuity.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in a critical care setting
• Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
• Monitor patient progress and report any changes to the medical team
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Document and maintain patient records using EPIC Charting system
• Participate in unit meetings and quality improvement projects

Requirements:

• Current IL Nursing License
• Certification in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum of 2 years of strong ICU experience
• Experience with EPIC Charting system
• Ability to float as needed
• Complete required credentials including updated resume, skills checklist, and IL license verification
