Warehouse Associate

Shift Tuesday - Friday 6:00am – 4:30pm (10 Hour Shift) Scope of Role The Warehouse Associate is primarily responsible for picking and loading product for outgoing delivery. The role involves selecting products from the warehouse, loading and securing goods to pallets, and moving inventory to designated loading areas. You must comply with all relevant safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures. To ensure success you need the ability to follow instructions and operate a forklift or other material handling equipment. Major Responsibilities Read customer delivery pick order and determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed. Drive forklift (reach truck, order picker, turret truck, pallet jack, sit‑down) to pick/pack and transport items. Sort and place material(s) or item(s) on racks, shelves, bins according to predetermined sequence (i.e. size, type, style, color, or product code). Use an RF scanner to enter records and record data. Mark materials with identifying information. Stage material in the proper area as designated by pick order ticket. Gather, pack and stage materials to meet customer order demands. Perform cycle counts. Load and unload vehicles. Other duties as assigned. Required Education / Experience / Skills High school diploma or GED; or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred 1 year work experience in a production or warehouse environment. Basic math and reading skills to perform job tasks and complete necessary paperwork. Ability to do basic math calculations, with or without a calculator. Must be able to read, write, comprehend and speak English. Proficient in basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite. Customer service oriented. Ability to sit, walk, stand for up to 10 hours per day. Ability to lift 50 lbs. Willing to work at heights of 25 feet or more while secured by a harness. Language English (Spanish/English) a plus. Work Environment & Physical Requirements This position is performed in a warehouse environment, typically indoors but may require occasional outdoor work. It requires the ability to drive a forklift such as reach truck, order picker, or turret truck. The role requires frequent walking, standing, bending and twisting; seeing, hearing and talking; using fingers and hands to handle controls or product; and using hands and arms to reach, hold and carry product. Frequently lifting/moving up to 35 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs. is required. The employee must handle differing temperatures. Standing for long periods of time, up to 10 hours, may also be required.
