Together, we're improving health and improving lives.LabCorp is seeking a Laboratory Specimen Processor to join our team at Columbia St. Mary's in Mequon, WI.Work Schedule: 1st Shift; Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm.Job Responsibilities:Receiving and processing anatomic pathology specimensAccessioning anatomic pathology specimensPreparing and loading specimen processing runsPerforming maintenance on histology instrumentationDistributing pathology materialsAssisting on fine needle aspiration proceduresOther tasks include but not limited to restocking laboratory suppliesUnpack and route specimens to their respective staging areasAccurately identify and label specimensPack and ship specimens to proper testing facilitiesMeet department activity and production goalsProperly prepare and store excess specimen samplesData entry of patient information in an accurate and timely mannerResolve and document any problem specimensMinimum Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalentSix months or more clinical or medical industry work experiencePreferred Qualifications:6 months or more clinical specimen processing or specimen receiving experienceAdditional Job Standards:Comfortable handling biological specimensAbility to accurately identify specimensExperience working in a team environmentStrong data entry and organizational skillsHigh level of attention to detailProficient in MS OfficeAbility to lift up to 40lbs.Able to pass a standardized color blindness testAt Labcorp we have a passion in helping people live happy and healthy lives.
