Summary:

You will support the lean process to promote cost reductions and maximize profitable growth, provide excellent customer service and quality, and promote continual improvement and safety. Leadership & Core Responsibilities:

Assembly Operations & Quality Control

• Equipment Operation & Assembly: Set up and operate appropriate equipment, tools, and fixtures to assemble connectors, labels, and associated parts to form a complete cable assembly in accordance with specifications.
• Inspection & Quality Assurance: Perform in-process inspections and tests (workmanship, dimensional, interface gauging) and record all test results, materials, tools, and labor accurately on time.

Continuous Improvement & Safety

• Process Enhancement: Work with Assembly Lead, QA, and Process Engineering to resolve assembly issues, ensure written processes translate to efficient production, and recommend engineering changes as needed.
• Safety & Staff Training: Maintain a safe, clean working environment in compliance with company policies and effectively train production staff on manufacturing/assembly processes.

Position Requirements:

Education & Technical Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience: Prior progressive experience in assembly, cable/connector manufacturing, or a related industrial production environment.
• Industry Domain: Basic understanding of engineering drawings, work instructions, product/process documentation, and parts lists.
• Regulatory Compliance: Compliance with all safety, health, quality, and labor policies defined by APTIV Interconnect.

Certifications & Competencies:

• Certifications: Relevant technical or IPC assembly certifications preferred.
• Systems Proficiency: Google Enterprise, BambooHR, Paycom & ADP, and basic computer data entry tools.
• Core Competencies: Attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication, ability to multitask and manage priorities, positive and infectious attitude, and alignment with APTIV's TOP values.
