Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking a skilled Emergency Room Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract position. The ideal candidate will provide acute patient care in a fast-paced ED environment, adhering to established protocols and ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and prioritize care based on acuity and clinical needs.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions following physician orders and safety standards.
• Monitor patient vital signs, responses to treatments, and adjust care plans as necessary.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and discharge planning.
• Document patient information accurately into electronic health records using MEDITECH.
• Respond efficiently to trauma incidents, airway management, and behavioral health de-escalation scenarios.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in the state of Texas.
• Minimum of 1 year of ER nursing experience required.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, ENPC, TNCC, NIHSS.
• Proficient in MEDITECH electronic medical records system.
• Demonstrates strong multitasking, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations.
