Evening Shift Custodian/Housekeeping (Continuous Posting)

He/she will act as a "working team" member under the supervision of the Night Operations Supervisor. Scheduled hours for this position are Monday - Thursday 6 - 11 p.m. Fridays 3-8p.m. Some weekends are required.Essential FunctionsConduct routine housekeeping maintenance of assigned facility.Report to the Evening Operations Supervisor as required for support in keeping employee performance to acceptable levels necessary for the proper cleaning of the facility.Assist with furniture and furnishing moves, especially for set-ups for special events.Perform all duties and assist all persons on our campus in a professional manner that honors and promotes the five core values of Sandhills Community College: respect, integrity, opportunity, excellence and persistent helpfulness.QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED preferred.One year of Housekeeping experience preferred.Valid NC Drivers License.Ability to perform medium to heavy duty housekeeping tasks which require standing, walking, ability to lift 50 lbs., carrying, stooping, pulling, pushing, kneeling, reaching, etc.Ability to work with hand tools, portable powered equipment (vacuums, etc.), and housekeeping chemicals.Ability to participate in safety and housekeeping training and to comprehend and practice it in the course of duty.Ability to interact, communicate, and maintain effective relations with students, public, faculty, and staff.Ability to follow guidelines and directives and to maintain a neat and professional appearance.Supplemental InformationNOTE: This job is a continuous posting that will be filled as positions become available.Sandhills Community College does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, gender, ethnic or national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital or parental status, religion, age, ancestry, mental or physical disability, military status or veteran status.BenefitsThis position is not eligible for benefits.
