Job Description The Department of Architecture and Design at Alfred State invites applications for adjunct faculty positions to teach undergraduate courses (lectures, labs, and/or studios) in architecture and interior design, with a particular emphasis on industry-standard software such as Autodesk Revit, Rhino 3D, and the Adobe Creative Suite. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a multi-disciplinary approach to design education and be comfortable exploring and teaching both analog methods of making and software as a tool for design and production of construction documents. Location Alfred, NY Category Adjunct Bargaining Unit - UUP Job Type Part-time In-Person Posted On Thu Jul 23 2026 Job Requirements The ideal candidate will possess a Master of Architecture degree or equivalent; candidates holding a Bachelor of Architecture degree with significant professional experience and/or licensure will be considered. Preference will be given to applicants who can work on campus; face-to-face instruction will be preferred, though hybrid instruction for working professionals will be considered. Prior teaching experience in an NAAB-accredited degree program will be considered favorably but is not a requirement. Visa Sponsorship Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
