Shift: Variable (Days / Evenings) Schedule: 8 / 10 / 12-hour shifts Call Requirement: Monday Friday: 9:00 PM 6:30 AM Weekends (Sat/Sun): 6:30 AM 7:00 PM / 7:00 PM 6:30 AM Holiday / weekend coverage required based on unit needs

The Registered Nurse Operating Room (OR RN) is responsible for providing perioperative nursing care in a Level 1 Trauma, 18-bed Operating Room environment.

This role involves supporting a wide range of surgical specialties while ensuring patient safety, maintaining sterile environments, and collaborating closely with multidisciplinary surgical teams.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Procedures

Provide nursing care during surgical procedures Perform circulating duties in the operating room Assist in complex surgical cases

Surgical Specialties Exposure

Orthopedic Neurosurgery / Spine General Surgery Robotic / Laparoscopic ENT, Plastics, Burns, Urology, GYN, Transplant

Patient Care & Safety

Ensure patient safety and maintain sterile environment Monitor patient condition during procedures Follow infection control and safety protocols

Documentation & Records

Maintain accurate patient records Utilize EPIC EMR system Ensure compliance with documentation standards

Must-Have Qualifications

Minimum 2+ years of Operating Room RN experience Experience in Level 1 Trauma Center BLS Certification (Required) Experience with EPIC EMR system

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in ENT, GU, Plastics, Burns Experience in high-acuity surgical environments Strong multi-specialty OR experience
