With over 100 years of innovation in sustainable infrastructure and our expertise in engineering, procurement, consulting and construction, together we are building a world of difference.The Opportunity: In this role, you will be a key member of the procure-to-pay process for Digital & Information Technology (D&IT) and will have opportunities to support ongoing financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes.The Team: Black & Veatch's Business Enablement consists of critical groups that help enable the organizations' people, projects, and businesses to be as successful as possible. Functions in this group include Digital & Information Technology, Global Finance, Global Human Resources, Legal, Risk Management, and Government Affairs and Real Estate and Building Services.Key Responsibilities:Review and process AP invoicesReconcile and match AP invoices with purchase ordersInvestigate and resolve discrepancies between vendor invoices and purchase order amountsCoordinate with procurement team members and vendors to close out completed purchase ordersCommunicate with vendors regarding billing issues and payment statusAssist with monthly financial reporting tasksProvide data gathering for ad hoc reporting and forecasting/budgeting processesReview PO data and expected delivery dates to help forecast anticipated expendituresManagement Responsibilities:Preferred Qualifications:Typically 2+ years relevant experienceBachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or equivalent experienceFamiliarity with ERP systems such as Oracle CloudBasic understanding of accounts payable and procurement workflowsExperience with invoice matching or purchase order reconciliationBasic knowledge of Microsoft ExcelWillingness to learn and adapt to new systems and processesAttention to detail and commitment to accuracyAbility to follow established procedures and meet deadlinesProfessional demeanor in written and verbal communicationAbility to manage time effectively and prioritize tasksDependability and consistency in task executionMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or equivalent experienceTypically 2+ years relevant experienceAll applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.Work Environment/Physical Demands: Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment based upon manager discretion, job performance and work assignments.
