Thermal Performance Engineer
Our client, a leading organization in the automotive industry, is seeking a Thermal Performance Engineer to join their team. As a Thermal Performance Engineer, you will be part of the engineering department supporting vehicle development and testing teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, proactive problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills.
Location: Auburn Hills, Michigan
What's the Job?
- Ensure vehicle functional objectives are achieved through thermal system analysis and testing
- Conduct reviews of functional systems, cooling systems status, and development test planning
- Lead communication and reporting of issues, including status updates and resolution tracking
- Proactively plan and track vehicle validation activities, supporting aero/thermal attributes
- Interact with exterior styling studio members as needed for project alignment
What's Needed?
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
- At least 3 years of relevant engineering experience
- Experience with thermal development, HVAC, or cooling systems preferred
- Experience with data acquisition systems and wind tunnel testing
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and lead team efforts
