Immediate opening for a Project Manager / Sales Assistant in Lakewood, WA who possesses:

• Previous professional experience within the commercial sign industry required
• Strong understanding of sign products, fabrication, installation, and the overall sign project lifecycle
• Experience supporting or managing sign projects from sale through production and installation
• Working knowledge of Square Coil or a similar sign-industry job processing system
• Strong organization, scheduling, multitasking, and follow-through skills
• Ability to work directly with customers on technical sign-related questions and inbound sales opportunities

FULL DESCRIPTION: We are seeking an experienced sign-industry professional to support project management and inbound sales activities for an established electrical sign manufacturer in Lakewood, WA. This direct-hire role is approximately 75% project management support and 25% sales, assisting the Lead Project Manager with job setup, product ordering, scheduling, project tracking, and site surveys while also handling warm inbound sales opportunities that are not assigned to an existing sales representative. The ideal candidate will already understand the sign industry, require little to no industry training, and be highly organized, customer-focused, and comfortable managing multiple projects at once.

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

• Assisting the Lead Project Manager with day-to-day sign project coordination
• Setting up new jobs within the company's project-processing system
• Verifying project details after a sale has been completed
• Reviewing job information for completeness and accuracy before production begins
• Entering and tracking project information within Square Coil or similar job-processing software
• Maintaining project checklists, status information, schedules, and required documentation
• Coordinating product and material ordering for active projects
• Supporting production and installation scheduling
• Monitoring project timelines and following up on outstanding items
• Helping ensure projects continue moving through the required internal processes
• Communicating with sales, production, installation, vendors, and customers regarding project details
• Assisting with project changes and resolving issues as they arise
• Supporting multiple projects simultaneously within a small, fast-moving business environment
• Performing local site surveys as needed
• Gathering and documenting information required for quoting, production, or installation
• Supporting existing sales representatives with project processing as needed
• Handling inbound sales opportunities that are not assigned to an existing salesperson
• Responding to warm incoming leads and customer inquiries
• Discussing sign products and technical options with prospective customers
• Gathering customer requirements and helping determine appropriate sign solutions
• Preparing or supporting estimates, proposals, and sales documentation as needed
• Following inbound opportunities through the sales process
• Managing house accounts or unassigned opportunities as appropriate
• Earning commission on qualifying gross sales
• Working collaboratively with a small team where employees regularly assist across functions
• Maintaining strong organization and attention to detail throughout the project lifecycle
• Providing responsive and professional communication to customers
• Performing other sign project management and sales-support duties as assigned

The selected candidate will also possess:

• Previous sign-industry experience required
• Candidates must already understand the commercial sign business and be able to become productive with minimal industry training
• Experience with electrical signs strongly preferred
• Experience supporting sign manufacturing, installation, service, or project management preferred
• Experience managing sign projects from sale through completion strongly preferred
• Working knowledge of Square Coil or a similar sign-industry job-processing system preferred
• Strong understanding of sign terminology, products, materials, fabrication, and installation processes required
• Ability to discuss technical sign-related information with customers required
• Experience reviewing and verifying project details after a sale
• Experience coordinating product orders and project schedules preferred
• Site-survey experience preferred
• Project-management or project-coordination experience required
• Strong organizational skills required
• Strong scheduling and time-management skills required
• Ability to manage multiple active projects and priorities simultaneously
• Excellent attention to detail required
• Strong customer-service skills required
• Professional verbal and written communication skills required
• Ability to handle inbound sales opportunities confidently
• Inside sales experience preferred
• No cold calling or outbound prospecting required
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned projects
• Ability to work effectively within a small, highly collaborative business environment
• Ability to work onsite in Lakewood, WA
• Ability to work Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• Ability to perform occasional local site surveys

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods while entering project information, reviewing schedules, preparing customer correspondence, and managing job documentation
• Ability to communicate by phone, email, and in person throughout the workday
• Ability to use hands and fingers for typing, data entry, document preparation, and standard office tasks
• Ability to review sign drawings, project documentation, estimates, schedules, specifications, and computer screens for extended periods
• Ability to occasionally stand and walk for extended periods while completing local site surveys
• Ability to safely navigate customer locations, job sites, parking areas, and exterior building areas during site surveys
• Ability to occasionally bend, reach, and move throughout office, warehouse, and jobsite environments as required
• Ability to travel locally for occasional site surveys
• Ability to maintain accuracy, organization, and attention to detail while managing multiple sign projects and customer requests

Salary Range: $34/hour base plus 9% commission on qualifying gross sales
