Procurement Engineer (HVAC / Mechanical Systems)

We are seeking a Procurement Engineer to support sourcing and supplier strategy for complex HVAC and mechanical systems within mission‑critical and federal environments. This role blends engineering expertise with procurement execution, ensuring technical requirements translate into effective purchasing decisions. Key Responsibilities Interpret HVAC/mechanical specifications and align with sourcing strategy Lead RFP/RFQ processes and evaluate supplier capabilities Negotiate pricing, delivery timelines, and contract terms Partner with engineering and project teams to ensure technical alignment Support supplier selection for complex infrastructure projects Track cost, performance, and vendor delivery metrics Contribute to procurement planning across multiple projects Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar) 3–5 years of experience in: engineering procurement or a hybrid of both Experience with HVAC, MEP, or mechanical systems Exposure to vendor coordination, sourcing, or supplier management What We’re Looking For Experience in construction, infrastructure, or federal environments Familiarity with RFPs, contract negotiation, and supplier evaluation Ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance Additional Details Location: Washington, DC Metro Travel: Collaborative, fast‑paced project environment JOB ID : 174954#post Nadine Duerr #J-18808-Ljbffr
