Lead Cook - Capitol Hill in Seattle, WA
SAGE Dining Services is seeking a high-energy Lead Cook to join our culinary team at a beautiful private school in Seattle, WA. We're looking for a passionate food professional with strong time-management skills, experience in catering and retail food service, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate is experienced with modern commercial kitchen equipment, stays current on food trends, and is comfortable interacting with guests in a front-of-house setting. Located in the heart of Capitol Hill, this is a great opportunity to grow your skills while creating fresh, healthy, and flavorful dining experiences with a collaborative team.
Schedule:
- Monday - Friday
- 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
- Occasional catering events and evenings
Pay Type:
$27.00 - $29.00 Hourly

What you'll do:
- Ensure that all food is appropriately displayed and visually appealing.
- Interact cheerfully with SAGE guests and Team Members, providing service with a smile.
- Oversee the preparation of menu items in strict accordance with both SAGE recipes and HACCP guidelines.
- Clean all work areas, equipment, and guest service areas on an ongoing basis.
- Assist with inventory and ordering.
- Train, motivate, and oversee Cooks and culinary Team Members.
- Set a good example each day by being a role model and leader in the kitchen.
What you'll need:
- Culinary degree or equivalent culinary experience required.
- Strong organizational skills required.
- Experience delegating tasks and following up with Team Members.
- Capacity to train and motivate others.
- ServSAFE certification preferred, but not required.
- Ability to understand and execute recipes and instructions in English accurately.
