EMS Program Director – EMT Work Location Los Angeles, CA Job #28608 Work Hours Monday-Friday; 8:00am-5:00pm with possible evenings and weekends Employment Type 2 – Staff- Career Duration Indefinite Salary Range $7483.33-16016.67 Monthly Posted Date March 3, 2026 Bargaining Unit 99 Reference to UCLA Health (employer branding text retained as part of the content) Job duties and qualifications are listed in sections below. JOB QUALIFICATIONS Current licensure as a Paramedic, Registered Nurse, Physician Assistant or Physician in the State of California or be eligible for licensure in California. A Bachelors Degree in health services, education or a related field and/or equivalent experience/training. A minimum of three years clinical experience. A minimum of three years experience as an educator, with a minimum of two in primary paramedic program instruction. A minimum of three years experience designing medical educational curriculums and programs. Previous experience with distributed learning or distance learning using systems such as Adobe, Connect or Canva. Experience delivering fire based EMS educational programs. Proficiency in student evaluations of cognitive, psychomotor and affective domain, including item construction, exam performance metrics, evaluation tool development, implementation and improvement. Detailed working knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations and agencies governing medical education programs. Participation in COAEMSP accreditation. Previous experience directing education programs, hiring, coaching, motivating, and supervising staff, and obtaining program accreditations. Certification as an Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Basic Cardiac Life Support Instructor, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support from the American Heart Association. Certification as a Prehospital Trauma Life Support Instructor from the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians and the American College of Surgeons. Computer knowledge and skill in MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint. Previous experience developing and coordinating large scale and high profile education programs. Available to use personal vehicle to drive between hospitals and to off campus locations for meetings. Available to work evenings, holidays, and/or weekends, and on call for after hours for emergencies. PREFERRED Masters degree in health services, education, or a related field.
