MRI Tech Assistant - Per Diem

Overview University Radiology, the largest provider of subspecialty radiology and teleradiology services in NJ, is comprised of over 200 Board Certified radiologists with advanced U.S.-based training and expertise in all modalities and all subspecialty areas. In operation for more than 60 years, University Radiology staffs, manages and provides preliminary and final subspecialty interpretations and consultative support for hospitals, imaging centers and other medical facilities, and serves as the academic radiology faculty at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Our physicians interpret over 2.1 million radiology procedures per year. Responsibilities University Radiology is looking for a per diem MRI Tech Assistantto work in ourEast Brunswick, NJ Imaging Office. Rotating Saturdays 7:30am-1:00pm or 7:30am-3:30pm (Evening coverage when needed 5:00pm-8:30pm) Assist MRI and CT Techs with patient flow Communicate with patients and prepare them for the exam Patient film and report coordination Stock supplies On-Site MRI Safety Training Aware of MR Safety screening questions Qualifications Excellent communication skills Medical office experience a plus, but not required Knowledge of medical terminology a plus, but not required Enrollment in a formal Radiologic Tech or MRI Tech program is a real plus Pay Range From $21/hr Join our growing team!
