Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous warehouse training or powered industrial truck training is beneficial.

Experience Requirements

• Previous warehouse experience preferred
• Required: Stand-up forklift and reach truck experience
• Experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) is preferred
• Experience with inventory control and material handling processes

Job Duties

• Operate stand-up forklifts and reach trucks to move products throughout the warehouse
• Accurately transfer products and materials into and out of warehouse locations
• Load and unload materials while maintaining inventory accuracy
• Read, interpret, and complete WMS reports
• Identify and correct potential process errors before they impact customers
• Pack and unpack products and materials as needed
• Shrink wrap and band pallets for storage and shipment
• Prepare receiving, storage, and shipping documentation
• Maintain product accountability throughout the logistics process
• Perform inventory counts and cycle counts as required
• Follow all warehouse safety and security procedures
• Assist with general warehouse duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in warehouse, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or shipping and receiving is preferred.
• Current forklift certification or experience operating multiple classes of powered industrial equipment is beneficial.
• Experience using RF scanners, warehouse management systems (WMS), or inventory software is considered an asset.
• Individuals who demonstrate safe operating practices, teamwork, reliability, and productivity are well positioned for success as a Forklift Operator.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and climb on and off powered industrial equipment throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift, move, or reposition materials weighing up to 50 pounds when required.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts in busy warehouse and manufacturing environments.
• Ability to maintain awareness of surrounding personnel, equipment, and inventory while operating powered industrial vehicles.

What You Will Do


As a Forklift Operator you will safely operate forklifts to load, unload, transport, stack, and organize materials throughout warehouse and manufacturing operations. You will inspect equipment before use, replenish inventory locations, support shipping and receiving activities, verify product movement, maintain inventory accuracy, and help ensure safe, efficient material handling throughout the facility.

A Forklift Operator helps maintain efficient warehouse operations by safely moving products between receiving, storage, production, and shipping areas. This role requires equipment operation skills, organizational ability, and safe work habits.


The Forklift Operator combines forklift operation with inventory awareness and warehouse procedures to help ensure products are moved accurately and efficiently throughout daily operations.
